About Rachel

With over 10 years experience as a nanny and now with a child of my own, almost 3 years old, I am very in tune with a child's needs and greatly value the input a child wishes to share. I believe in child led learning and love to hear the curiosity of a child and see how we can explore that. I put together activities based on a child's interests from arts/crafts, baking, sports, music, gardening, and imaginative play. I love being active with children, especially playing & exploring the outdoors. I am especially interested in nature based learning and practice those principles at a nature preschool part time. I am compassionate and gentle, yet know how to set consistent boundaries with children in a loving way. I love to cook for families as time permits. I have a degree in nutrition and enjoy welcoming children to try new foods. I am looking for an opportunity in which I can bring my daughter and her joyful presence would add value. She is a great playmate to children of all ages.
