Hello my name is Rachel, I am 28 years old, I am currently in nursing school. I've had a passion for helping and caring for the elderly for as long as I can remember. Starting at a young age I have been visiting nursing homes whether it be with my school, church, or even on my own. I want to let them know someone does care, I am here and I am a listening ear. When I was 17 I helped take care of my friends grandmother and helped her walk to and from the bathroom, along with helping her change. The parts her grandkids weren't comfortable with. For about a year I helped my grandmother with getting to and from doctors appointments, getting too and from the bathroom and helping her clean up. I am a listening, understanding and patient ear. Showing someone that they have someone is something I love. I am a certified nursing assistant and CPR certified. I have worked in nursing homes, assisted living homes, and hospice.
