About Rachel

I have been a babysitter, nanny and now a parent for three decade (I honestly started babysitting really young :) I was employed for almost a decade with 1 of the top-rated nanny agencies in Portland where I had roles as nanny, house manager and doula. I love kids! Each one is special in their own way! While a nanny, I also earned a BS in Psychology. I have worked in juvenile and adult law enforcement and corrections on and off for 10 year, which really mellowed me. I work very hard to respond, rather than reacting in all situations. I rarely raise my voice and choose to talk through behavior changes with my own son. Presently, I am looking for a weekly, part-time job (about 15 hours per week with a 4-hour minimum per shift). I prefer most of my evenings free, so that I can participate in my son's extracurricular activities. I am comfortable with animals, and I own a very safe and reliable SUV.
