About Rachael

From early childhood education, to tutoring, to doula training, to having my own baby in early 2020, I've been working with children in a number of capacities for nearly 15 years. I see every baby and child as a whole, intelligent being inherently worthy of understanding and respect. Along with keeping the children I care for emotionally and physically safe, I believe my role as a caregiver is to tune into and support each child and family's unique needs. Before taking on a job, I'll want to know a little about your family and any parenting/caregiving philosophies that are important to you so I can provide consistency. More than just a "sitter" or "nanny," my goal is to be a nurturing presence for your children and extension of support for your family. As a parent myself, I know how hard it is to stay on top of everything, so I'm happy to help with household tasks and meal preparation as well. I'm not shy about asking questions, so I encourage you to direct any to me, too!
