About Poppy

I'd describe my personality as patient, open, and empathetic! I'm looking for a family or even a couple families that need help with running kids around in the evenings or want a consistent babysitter for date nights. I started working with kids when I was 12 years old. I was acting as a mother's helper for a single mom who had a 5-year-old and a 6-month-old. Since then I've been babysitting and working in kids outdoor camps. I've worked for trackers and YMCA Camp Silvercreek. In my spare time, I love to read, hike, camp, cook and bake! My main hobbies are hiking and reading I love to get off work and go walk through the woods or pick up my latest read with a cup of tea. My skills include leading activities and assisting with homework. I am very familiar with prepping food for kids through the different stages and ages I also have my food handlers card. I think having flexibility and patience with kids are two of the most important skills and I possess both of them.
