My name is Piper, and I have both personal and professional experience supporting individuals with special needs. My 13-year-old brother is nonverbal and has ASD, so I have lifelong firsthand experience with autism, communication differences, routines, and individualized care. I have worked the past two years in a special education setting as an Education Assistant Specialist working with 4th-8th grade students with ASD, DCD, and EBD in a level 4 program. I've also worked as a PCA for a child with special needs, with needs similar to those with Down syndrome. I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and am currently finishing my final semester of Occupational Therapy Assistant school. I am patient, dependable, creative, and passionate about helping individuals feel safe, supported, and empowered while meeting their unique needs.
