I am a retired RN with a lifetime of experiences including hospital ICU, acute care medicine, PACU, community health educator at Albany Medical Center, teaching and training nursing and PCA HHA orientation, worked in assisted living at Home of the Good Shepherd as quality assurance trainer, was school-based Teachers Aid for a special ed developmentally delayed non-verbal high school student, served as substitute teacher and school nurse at the King's School in Hadley, then served six years at High Peaks Hospice as admissions nurse and hospital liaison. Currently I enjoy part-time in-home senior care for several clients and being a nanny and babysitter for little ones, including grand nieces and nephews to whom I'm belovedly referred to as Aunt Phyllis. I have two young adult children who live with my husband and me who have needed my support in their school years for IEPs and special needs due to neurodiversities. They are now have successful independent lives and careers.
