About Phoebe

Hi there, my name is Phoebe and I'm 24 years old. I am in school at UIC studying environmental science and am currently transitioning from being a server in order to have a better work-school balance and continue working in childcare. My experience working with kids began in high school, when I babysat for an infant into her toddler years. Following this, I worked at a city park in the summer and facilitated city-sponsored lunch distribution and games, babysat for a first-grader and supported his virtual learning and safe transportation by bike home from school, worked at an afterschool and supervised and played with kids outdoors, and worked at a school-garden, teaching kids about farming. I am skilled at encouraging kids to use their imagination and work out conflicts between each other. I enjoy being active and am happy to cook for and with kids as well. I played a lot of sports growing up and currently and did well in school, so I am happy to help kids in these areas.
