About Philis

Hi there! My name is Philis, and I'm a 19-year-old student at The Evergreen State College. I have several years of hands-on childcare experience with children from infants to pre-teens. I started nannying for a family in my neighborhood when their oldest was 3, and I was with them for 2. 5 years, even before their youngest was born. That experience gave me a strong foundation in supporting early development, building routines, and creating a safe, loving environment. I also worked with a backup care organization, where I cared for children ages 6 months to 11 years. This taught me how to adapt quickly to new households, follow family routines, and keep kids happy and engaged-whether that meant soothing a baby, helping with homework, or planning fun activities. Families I've worked with describe me as reliable, patient, and fun. My goal is always to create a safe and positive space where children feel comfortable and cared for.
