About Pheadra

I am a recently retired hospice nurse with 13 years experience. Being able to care for others has always felt so rewarding. Medically, I am trained in all areas of care for the older population. Skin integrity, medication management, catheter care, bowel management, wound care etc. Personal care goes beyond the mechanics and it should be completely personalized. Being able to connect on a human level enhances our daily life experiences. I made the decision to leave the professional aspect of nursing because it lost the human touch and became more about insurance instead of caring for each other. After 2 years of personal care and spending that time teaching yoga and body care, I found myself coming back to the call for caring for others. I no longer hold the professional license but the skills acquired make up who I am and the ability to share and care for others is the greatest gift I can give.
