About Petula

Petula was a true source of comfort,compassion and support. She cared for my mother with extraordinary level of kindness and patience,always treating her with the dignity, respect and warmth she deserved. She truly cared. She never made mom feel like she was simply receiving care from a care giver or nurse. She treated her like family, getting to know her listening to her comforting her, and making sure she felt safe and cared for. It was clear that her work came from a place of genuine love and compassion. Another thing our family appreciated was Petula’s willingness to educate and guide us. She took the time to patiently explain different techniques and approaches for caring for my mom when she was in our care, making sure we understood what to do and just as importantly, why it was helpful. She never made us feel inadequate or overwhelmed. Instead she calmly walked us through things, answered our questions and gave us the confidence to care for my mother as best we could. Just as importantly, Petula was a tremendous source of reassurance for our family. Knowing that someone so caring was there for my mother gave us invaluable sense of peace during a very painful chapter of our lives. Her kindness and compassion is rare and our family will always be grateful to her. Petula was with mom during her last hours and I have such peace knowing mom was loved and cared for by Petula. I recommend Petula without hesitation.
