About Petra

I grew up with my grandmother and learned to appreciate and value this population. I also learned to provide assistance with daily chores and meal preparation. I have since held positions where I worked either directly with (personal care assistant) or close to the elderly. I did go through CNA and HHA training but because I furthered my education these licenses expired. My last position was working for a blind disabled women, I had to prepare her healthy meals (she was also diabetic), gave a meds and insulin. I was upbeat and cheerful, prepared her Art materials, applied make-up and fixed her hair to boost her self-esteem. Close friends and family will give me good reference for my services and personality. I love the elderly because I feel they are a treasure from a time that has passed. I enjoy listening to the stories and life experiences because at that time, life was different. I believe the older generation deserves much love and respect because they have earned our respect.
