I'd describe my personality as curious, passionate, and creative! I like tutoring because it's very rewarding to help people in places I have struggled myself before. I started tutoring when I was in college. My school mandated every takes calculus 2 and a variety of engineering classes. My skills include my patience, creativity, and persistence. 1) I think patience is the most important part of being a good instructor because everyone has their own struggles and that's okay! So being there as a good teammate to help them pursue understanding takes patience to be able to stick with them. 2) I'm a very creative person, so I can always find a way to relate the concept to something else more tangible (which helped me survive college engineering) and better grasp the concepts. 3) Persistence in teaching leads to persistence in understanding. All of my instruction meant nothing if a student forgets what we just talked about when we're done for the day.
