I have 35 years of educational experience with a masters degree. I am a retired certified teacher from 1-8th grades focused on building confidence and fostering a love for learning. I create engaging, supportive, and patient learning environments by varying my teaching strategies, such as visual aids and hands-on activities. I connect challenging topics to real-world examples, celebrate small successes, and encourage curiosity through interactive discussions. Communication is essential, and I provide regular updates to keep parents informed. The most rewarding aspect is seeing a student's confidence grow as they master new skills. I am willing to tutor at various locations, and can help with courses in Math, English, Science, and more. I am comfortable with pets, and look forward to helping your student succeed!
