About Paula

I feel that each and every child is different and should be treated as such. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education with Special Education classes included and was a teacher for over 20 years. Before that I was not for profit Program Coordinator/Instrustor for School Environmental Programs and In-School Science Programs, I have worked with infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school agers. I have several children that I sit for that have special needs, Austim verbal and nonverbal plus Down Syndrome. I really enjoy the daily interactions of children and those teachable moments. I feel that kids learn through play and I am all about play. The kids are having so much fun they don't even realize they are learning. I been with several families long term, sometimes doing a day family and an evening one. Some of the children I have watched since babies/toddlers have aged out and no longer need care. I look forward to hearing from you.

Wonderful, caring and always on time! Works really well and can handle my 4 year old special needs, autistic daughter! And my 6 year old neurotypical son! She does great and is stern and follows the rules and yet also patient and understanding! We are super grateful to have Paula with us during the week!
