About Patty

Before obtaining my Nursing Degree in 1998, my first career was working with children. This began in 1985, in California, with a Nanny position for 3 siblings then a year in a home daycare. Back in RI, I taught ballet to 3-5-year-olds at Position One School of Ballet, in 1989. Teaching dance to young children was both challenging and inspiring. In 1992, I taught a class, at the Newport County, for 3-5-year-olds. This led to a lead teacher position in the Kids Gym, in 1993. This was a program for children ages 0-5 years old, with and without their parents. For 3 years, I was creating age appropriate curriculum with games, songs and physical activities as well as directing a preschool Summer Camp experience. I found great joy in helping children grow physically and socially. After 28 years of a diverse Nursing career, which included some pediatric experience in Primary Care, I feel I am drawn back to work with children in a more personal and holistic environment.
