I appreciate older people and have always liked being with them. I have just recently completed a 4 week position taking care of a wonderful fellow who was suffering from Alzheimer's Disease. If you would like a reference from his family I'm sure I could provide you with it. I cared for my father who had congestive heart failure and then later my dear mom who had Lewy's Bodies disease - which is like Alzheimer's. I understand how devastating this is to the person suffering from it and the people who love and care for them. I'm sorry if your family is facing this now. In 2014-2015 I took care of an elderly woman several times when her daughter had to go out of town on weekends. Later when she moved into assisted living I took care of her from 6am-6 p.m. and weekend days until her daughter felt OK leaving her with the staffed facility. Assuring that your loved one has companionship, along with physical care will go a long way to help everyone deal with a very tough situation.
