About Patricia

Patricia is a calm, caring and reliable caregiver. She helped us with my 82 your old mother who suffers from dementia and Alzheimer's. When we hired Patricia we had already started the process of moving my mom to a memory care unit in an assisted living. Because we could not get reliable help and because our home was becoming unsuitable for my mom we decided it was time to move her. Unfortunately the caregiver we had at the time disappeared on us and we needed someone to help with my mom for about a month before she moved and another month after she got to her new home because we wanted someone that she knew to be there during the day to help her transition and feel safe. Patricia knew this when she was hired but still treated my mom with all the love, compassion, dignity and respect that she would if this was a long-term job. Patricia has a very strong work ethic and is the type of person who does not adhere just to their care plan or job description. She goes above and beyond to make sure that the person in her care and their family has everything they need. It was a comfort when we moved to my mom to the new facility to have Patricia there to help the caregivers at the unit get to know my mom and her needs and to help us feel comfortable by being our eyes and ears at the facility when we couldn't be there. She is reliable, looks professional and is good at what she does. An example of how she goes above and beyond.. it was about 2 months after Patricia's time with my mom at the facility had ended. My husband and I were out of state when we got a phone call that my mom needed to go to urgent care. We were 18 hours away at a family event and we don't have any family living in the state where we do. When I told the memory Care staff that we were out of state and were at least 18 hours away there was silence on the other end of the phone. They had no action plan on how to get my mom to see a doctor. I was very concerned and my husband said call Patricia. Patricia dropped everything she was doing, went to the facility, got my mom to urgent Care, stayed with her with the doctors, brought her back to the memory care unit, interfaced with the staff there to make sure my mom's care plan would be adhered to and then continue to check on her for the next several days after even once we were home. What a relief and blessing that was for us. She's also great with children and wonderful with family pets. My family and I would highly recommend her.
