This is a criminal background check required for all caregivers before they can message families.
Experience: 10 yrs
I have always had a genuine interest in caring for the suffering. My father was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease at 30 years-old, so I grew up caring for him until he passed at 76. I served as a pastor's wife for 30 years and cared for numerous non-ambulatory adults with dementia. I cared for many seniors in their homes throughout the years while pastoring along side my husband. I took care of my own mother for 10 years in my home who was victim of a fall, a stroke, and into a wheelchair and walker and dementia until bedridden and passed at 89. After my mother died, I decided to become a full-time caregiver. I have had 3 long term jobs since, and then my last wonderful client recently passed.
Patricia was my caregiver this week. I had knee surgery and she was a wonderful lady to have to help me. She not only took me to the surgery center waited for me and took me home and the conversation and the transportation was just pleasant and easy. Which made the surgery experience much easier. The doctor gave her instructions on my care at home and she followed through with each of them. She spent the night with me and attended to me and every need before I even asked. She kept a close eye on me I knew I was in good hands. Patricia is very skilled and knowledgeable. She has such a pleasant disposition. I was so surprised to know that she got up several times during the night just to check on me, that’s rare to see someone do that in these days. Together, we were able to work out my care, and steps to take when she left, another rare service given today by a caretaker. She has the natural caring spirit along with the knowledge and together it makes her exceptional. She also kept my daughter informed of everything, so comforting to me. My daughter is very thankful that we found Patricia.I will be calling and asking for her help for any and all of my future needs. I truly can’t thank you enough Patricia. Jeannie
