My name is Patricia. I have been working in Senior Care and Mental Health for the past 20 years. As a Resident Program Manager, creating and implementing all of the programs for a community of 160 seniors. I am currently employed as a part-time companion I am not a CNA or QMAP but I'm fine with med minders, etc. I can bring joy, conversation, social interaction, fun activities if desired, exercise walks, art, conversation AND I can also run errands, provide transportation, light housekeeping and some basic meal prep. I possess a passion for service, especially concerning our elders. I treat all with dignity, respect and a joyful heart. You can teach a skill set to someone and they may master it; however, you cannot teach that which is innate; kindness, dignity, compassion and integrity. I honestly cannot say enough about Pat. She's been an absolute lifesaver! My dad has dementia and she's helped with him for over 8 months. Pat is friendly, creative, and adaptable. Dad can be demanding and she meets him where he is. When he wants silence, she lets him be. When he is interested in an activity, but doesn't want to participate directly, she finds hands-off ways to engage him. She talks/plays, provides food, and helps with daily living activities. At first, Dad was resistant to having someone over for companion care, but he now asks for her regularly...that's a huge shift! Pat's punctual/reliable and we trust her implicitly. On top of it all, her communication skills are top-notch. She asks good questions...we're always clear on what she needs to know and where she stands. No surprises. She's improved all of our lives. Two thumbs up...I highly recommend Pat!
