Experience: 3 yrs
I am a 25-year-old graduate with a degree in architecture. I am fluent in Portuguese and currently studying English at TCC to improve my communication skills. With a passion for fostering children's growth, I have three years of experience as a dedicated childcare provider. My calm, creative, and friendly nature allows me to connect easily with children of all ages. I love working with children and want to continue doing it here. I believe in an open and regular communication with parents, providing daily written reports and updates via their preferred method. I'm comfortable enforcing household rules and enjoy a variety of games, from outdoor to educational activities that promote learning. Certified with CPR and First Aid training, I prioritize children's safety and well-being. Let's discuss how I can best support your family's needs.
Overall, Patricia was a good nanny with our infant child. She was very kind, clean, punctual, and respectful. We had her for about three months, and she helped our baby reach key milestones, which we are very grateful for. There was a little bit of a language barrier, but for the most part we were able to adjust with this. Unfortunately, as the baby began to grow, and the job became more demanding, we do not believe that she possessed the ability or skills to handle these changes. There was a gradual shift of her prioritizing her needs over the needs of the infant. She did not communicate her concerns or struggles with our family, leaving us with no opportunity to help make adjustments. The struggles were instead internalized, until one day, we did notice something concerning on the home camera, in regard to the care for our infant, which we addressed with her that same day. We thought that we had a constructive conversation, and would be able to move forward. However, she suddenly resigned later that same evening, with no advanced notice, despite our contractually agreed 2 week notice. This abruptly left our family without any childcare. We did not feel as if this was professional behavior with someone we welcomed into our home and trusted with our child, and it is something that future families must be aware about when considering her for long-term childcare.
