Patty is INCREDIBLE. She is loving, nurturing, proactive and very experienced. She has been a nanny for over 30 years and it's clear she takes pride and loves her job in caring for babies and children. If you end up being the lucky family that gets her in your child's life, consider yourself very very lucky. We had budgeted and were looking for a night nanny to help us for 1-2 months when our newborn joined us in December since we are first time parents. He was born a month early so he was a preemie. Every day, she went above and beyond to make our baby feel loved and make us feel comfortable in learning how to be great parents. She helped us put our son on a feeding and sleeping schedule, which helped me go back to work after 3.5 months and have our son sleep through the night. When I went back to work, she agreed to switch to days, which we were so fortunate for. She talks to our son all the time, explaining the world to him, she takes him outside on walks, to the park and reads to him. She not only cared for our son but she made sure she helped him achieve each and every milestone. When he's napping, she's not sitting on the couch watching TV, she's always looking for ways to help us around the house without us asking. She just does things to help make our lives easier since we both have full time jobs. My son, husband and I loved her so much; we decided to keep her for 7 months, which was much longer than we anticipated, and made it tight financially, but we made it work because she is worth it. We are really sad that we can't have her full time anymore but we absolutely will continue having her a part of our son's life and really really hope she's available again if we plan on having baby #2.
