About Pamela

I am a vibrant senior relatively new to Columbia, Maryland. Most of my life I have lived in South Florida, and moved to Maryland this December to be closer to family. My recent employment experience has been in the corporate world as an administrative assistant and concierge. Now, I have decided that I would much prefer to work again with children. My goal is to work with one or more families and provide child care for school-age children with working parents. I have raised two children, my son works for a non-profit in DC and my daughter is in Vienna Austria, getting her Master's Degree in international public relations. My teaching experience dates back to the 1980's, prior to my son's birth. I was blessed enough to stay home with my son until he began kindergarten. I had my own tutoring business during that time and when he started school I taught at a nearby preschool, where I continue to teach 4-year-olds until my daughter was born.
