I have an extensive background as a caregiver for adults and seniors. I have experience in both long-term care and in short-term recovery. As you may know these duties include assistance getting to the restroom, bathing, dressing, cooking, cleaning, shopping, providing transpiration if needed to appointments and companionship. The companionship portion of the job in my opinion is as important as the physical assistance. I also believe that Caregivers are often an important link between the client and their family members. Along with my background as a caregiver, I have obtained my Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Human Development and have worked in the Human Services field as Direct Care Provider, Service Coordination and Case Management for 23 years. I enjoy working with seniors because The elderly are more often than not extremely appreciative of the attention you pay to them, whether that be a simple hello or a small conversation which makes my job enjoyable.
