Experience: 5 yrs
Making a difference in the lives of adults and seniors is my calling. For the past five years, I've provided compassionate in-home care, assisting with everything from personal care and meal preparation to transportation and light housekeeping. I'm experienced in dementia care, mobility assistance, medical management, and hospice services. I adapt to changing routines, de-escalate stressful situations, and handle behavioral changes with patience and understanding. I have some college experience, and I'm certified in CPR and First Aid. Respecting a client's independence is very important to me. I provide regular updates to families via their preferred method, and I'm known for being friendly, calm, and empathetic. I am committed to supporting your family and providing reliable care for your loved one, and I look forward to bringing a little sunshine into their day.
Orlando cared for my husband (vascular and Lewy Body dementia, Parkinson’s, stroke) for almost a year. At first it was two days a week. As my husband declined, I increased Orlando’s hours, to caring for him Monday afternoon through Friday afternoon until my husband passed on November 27th. He is knowledgeable, experienced, compassionate, and can transfer easily and safely; always sensitive and intuitive in his caregiving; very gentle; exhibits a great work ethic (always on time and offered to assist with extras around the house) ; honest and trustworthy; super attentive to my husband’s needs and wants; and able to easily handle the many behaviors of one with dementia. We feel very, very fortunate to have him care for my husband so lovingly with his unique gentleness. He always treated him with respect regardless of what my husband said or acted out due to his disease. I highly recommend him…you won’t find a better caregiver! Loretta
