About Opal

I'd describe my personality as lighthearted, intuitive, and caring. I love working with kids, and I started working with them when I was 10! I have always been the oldest cousin, and I grew up around a ton of kids. I babysat all the way through middle school and high school, and have experience with kids ages 6 months to12 years! In my spare time, I like to do art projects, including painting, collaging, drawing, sewing, and crocheting. I love music and am trained in the piano, and some wind instruments, I am teaching myself guitar. I am very active and love hiking, walking, and playing all sports! I love being outdoors. My skills include going on interesting adventures and keeping kids engaged in tasks. I love to let them help me "plan" the day, because I think their input is important, and they are much more inclined to want to be involved if they take part in planning. I love to cook with kids as well! It never goes to plan but is always fun!
