About Olivia

I'm Olivia a Master's in Nursing student at Vanderbilt University with a passion for geriatric care. I am particularly interested in providing holistic, patient-centered support to older adults and their caregivers. I recently completed my first semester of nursing school, where I gained training in medication administration, comprehensive head-to-toe assessments, catheter care, and CPR. On an interpersonal level, I love meeting new people, hearing stories, and aim to be compassionate and present always. My interest in geriatric care is deeply personal. Growing up, I helped care for my grandmother who lived with us and required support for diabetes, dementia, and daily living needs. Assisting my mother in my grandma's care shaped my understanding of the physical, emotional, and relational aspects of caregiving. In my free time, I enjoy rock climbing, hiking, playing the piano, and cooking with friends.
