About Olivia

Working with kids has always come naturally to me. So, after high school, I started studying child development with a focus on children with special needs and started working for a preschool in one of their daycare classrooms. Shortly after, I had the opportunity to work in agriculture and animal husbandry. Currently, I work part-time managing a herd of 65 heritage breeding goats. This work has made me grow in my work ethic, kindness, patience and diligence. It's a regular reminder of how much I love having a share in the process of growth and development. My personal life is filled with kids - babysitting for friends, hosting farm visits for kids, and tutoring in math. I care about limiting screen time and encouraging hands on play and exploration. And I know the importance of being actively engaged with children to help foster curiosity and confidence as they grow. I'd be happy to meet in person before the start date to make sure its a good fit for both of us.
