Experience: 3 yrs
I have 3 years of official experience. I can help with a number of basic things around the house that may need to be completed in addition to regular childcare, such as cooking meals, doing laundry, and cleaning up as needed. I'm the oldest of three (my brothers are 16 and 8) and I'm from a family where older cousins are asked to care for younger ones, so on top of my experience in an official setting I've been helping kids be successful and safe since I was old enough to be seen as a caretaker. I volunteered at a nursery school for a semester when I was 16, which means I am adjusted to helping toddlers as well as older children. I am a freshman in college and I'm doing a double major in Spanish and Psychology, meaning I'm able to help school-aged children with their schoolwork in addition to helping them be safe and happy. I speak Spanish and English fairly fluently, and I'm passable at French if it's needed as well!
Olivia is great with our 4 & 6yo. My son struggled with separation anxiety a bit and Olivia was very patient with him. She brought projects to do with them, books to read to them, and eventually, our son went from dreading our goodbye to looking forward to having her continue the stories. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone! She's easy to work with and all around great!
