About Olivia

Hello! My name is Olivia, and I am a Theatre Educator, Teaching Artist, and a Part-Time Lecturer at Eastern Michigan University! I am a certified K-12 Speech, Debate, and Drama teacher with extensive teaching experience of ages 4-18 in many modes - I have taught camps, after school programs, youth theatre programs, and in the classroom. My favorite part of working with young people is building relationships and being part of their cheerleading team as they go through life and discover who they are. I am passionate about fostering creativity and learning in young people! I am empathetic, curious, responsible, and joyful. Coming from a large family, I am comfortable in chaotic and exciting environments. On the flip side, I enjoy spending one-on-one time with young people and creating a cozy and safe environment to explore and grow. Outside of teaching, I am a creator of Theatre for Young Audiences, including theatre for those with special needs.
