One of my close childhood friends had down syndrome growing up. We played at parks and had many play dates in elementary school. I also have helped care for my sisters younger sister in college who has Down syndrome. I volunteered at praying hands ranch and worked there for 3 years in high school with kids to adults with a wide range of disabilities. I am a nursing student in college and am CPR and Red Cross certified.
