About Olga

Hi! My name is Olga. I'm 24 years old. I'd describe myself (in my humble opinion) as caring, curious, and funny. I started tutoring when I was 13 years old and continued through college. I love watching others succeed. Whenever I learn, my favorite part of the process is the "aha" moment, when something clicks. I want to help others have more of these moments. Especially if they feel like whatever they're learning will never get them there. I'm looking for a job that allows me to be creative. I don't believe everyone learns the same way; a visual approach might look like squiggles to reading/writing learners. In my spare time, I like to knit, draw, practice yoga, hike, swim, and travel. I have a lot of fun travel stories! A fun fact about me is I'm the oldest of 4. One of my brothers is 15 year younger than me. Patience is my middle name. My teaching skills include the socratic method, conceptual learning (mastering instead of memorizing), and adaptive lesson planning.
