About Nyla

I'd describe my personality as fun, creative, and caring. I like working with kids because they are constantly teaching me what it means to be a kind person and what it means to be understanding and loving. Children don't judge. They're curios and intelligent in their own unique ways. Being a part of a child's care is nothing less than exciting and original. I started working with kids when I was 10 years old. I helped run the nursery at my church. When I was 13 I began babysitting for families on my own. Since then I have baby sat on and off for the past decade. Throughout my history, I have taken care of children from newborns to pre-teens. In my spare time, I participate in an art collective in downtown Chicago. There I help the space throw events for the community and it's where I pursue my own artistic projects. At home I like to take care of my plants as well as cook new meals for my roommate and I. My skills include patience, good communication, and empathy.
