About Numia

I am a born-and-raised Portlander, a go-getter Aries, a practical realist who is secretly a goofy optimist, a creative and high energy multitasker, and am most often found enjoying the outdoors, digging in my dirt, biking, and going on long walks just to say hi to every dog I see. I am a counseling graduate student currently working towards licensure as a Marriage, Couple, & Family Therapist. I have 15 years of experience working with children, beginning as a mommy's little helper at age 11. As a Montessori child myself, I worked at a Montessori preschool for 10 years doing after care and as an assistant garden teacher. After obtaining a bachelor's in psychology and early childhood development, I began working in mental health, first at a teen residential treatment center and, for the last 4 years, as a Mental Health Specialist in a child & adolescent psychiatric inpatient setting.
