Hello parents! 

I am Nubia, a trustworthy and caring woman with a strong passion for childcare, mostly caring for infants and toddlers, as I believe these early years are so critical in a child's development. 

Furthermore, I have extensive experience in childcare and employ positive discipline methods. I enjoy spending time with children, engaging in activities such as outdoor play, games, puzzles, and crafts. If you wish, I would be happy to teach your children Spanish, my native language. Rest assured, I will care for your little ones as if they were my own.

Nubia came to us with incredible experience and has been invaluable to our family. We will miss her terribly when we move this summer. Our kids were 5, 3 and 3 months when she started.

She is extremely professional and takes all aspects of her job seriously. She is reliable and an excellent communicator.  She handled remote learning and school drop off/pickups with ease. She keeps the house clean and organized, makes healthy lunches and snacks, teaches the girls responsibility, and is attentive to all details. She dedicates time to teaching them Spanish. I never worried while I was at work & I always returned home to happy kids who seemed like they had very good days. 

Nubia was very mindful of our preferences but also confident, independent, and creative in caring for them. She did not need directions - if needed I could leave quickly and know that all was going to be fine. I could not have asked for a more reliable, respectful, loving and helpful caregiver. We highly recommend her!

Nubia has worked for our family for over four years and over that time has been dependable, reliable, and like a second mother to my children. She has cared for all 4 of them, including one with special needs, and has helped to shape their little hearts and minds. She has done errands, drops offs / pick ups, meal preparation, etc. in addition to being a loving caregiver.  Since our needs have changed, she will be moving on but we will part on great terms and she will always be a special part of our lives. I highly recommend Nubia!

Nubia started working with our family when our girls were 2 and 4 and was incredibly dependable and provided needed support while I was traveling for work.  She was great at organizing activities for the girls in the area and enjoyed bringing the girls to the library, music groups, playground, Davis Farm and anything else that would engage the girls.  She was just as good at helping them learn in our home environment and would often play games, read books, or have them participate in craft projects.  While I was away, she worked closely with my husband to organize schedules and would always send me videos and pictures of the girls.  Nubia has the perfect balance when caring for children and is able to keep order but also foster a very nurturing environment.  We are sad to see her go since our girls have both started full-day programs at the school but she will always be part of the family.

Nubia is a gem of a sitter. She worked for me for three years, caring for my son who was 10 months old and my 3 year old daughter. Right from the start she was a hit with my children because of her loving, comfortable demeanor and her gentle authority. She immediately was on the floor playing with my son, and she won my daughter's confidence so quickly -- I knew it was going to work when my daughter who is very shy asked Nubia on her 3rd day at our house to do her hair for preschool. Nubia is an extremely reliable, responsible person. I work part time and my husband travels a lot for business and I knew I could depend on Nubia to always be there for us. Over the three years she was with us I came to depend on her for so much, and I can see the lasting positive influence she has had on my children -- and on me!! I never worried about my children, as I knew Nubia would love and protect them. She took them to the library, park, music class, etc. We stopped working together when my son entered preschool, but we have kept in touch and I highly recommend her. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Nubia!  She joined us about a year ago to look after my four year old. I had years and years of bad luck with nannies and Nubia was our dream come true!  The only reason why she will now not be working with us any longer is because my in-laws have come to live with us - otherwise, we would certainly have kept her on for at least another year and perhaps even beyond.  Nubia is never, ever late, always arrives in a good mood, never cancels. But the most important benefit is what Nubia has accomplished with our daughter.  As an only child, our daughter really needs a good emphasis on social skills and Nubia did a beautiful and consistent job in ensuring that she engaged effectively with other children. The difference in our daughter within a year is quite remarkable. I would endorse Nubia for any family and very very happy to speak with anyone who is considering hiring her.

I met Nubia when my children were toddlers enrolled in her Spanish class and we have been friends ever since. Nubia is compassionate, caring, kind and creative! She has a special way of nurturing children so that they feel safe and loved. She knows just how to set age appropriate boundaries that allow children to feel secure and protected yet free to explore, develop and learn. She is dependable, trustworthy, hardworking and takes joy in helping children to grow and mature in positive and healthy ways.
