I am an experienced educator with over 48 units in child development; and was the lead teacher at a pre-school for over 18 years. I am seeking a part-time position as a nanny and am willing to help with travel with the family. I have worked with children of all ages, from infants to adolescents. My focus is on the child's needs and assisting their overall development. I can also introduce educational experiences in learning environments within our community, such as museums, libraries, zoo, parks, etc. I am trustworthy, able to pass a thorough background check, have certifications in child development, CPR, and have raised two children of my own. My eldest graduated from college last year and my daughter is currently attending. I can provide letters of recommendation from previous families upon request. I dont normally write reviews, but i HAD to write Norma a review so other families will know how truly wonderful she is so they know to hire her if she is available ! Norma was hired not only as a nanny for my two kids (7 and 10), but also as a kind of stand-in mother because they were struggling through the transition of their birth mother moving away...and honestly I can say that Norma was simply amazing! She easily and naturally provided my kids with the pure love and maternal sweetness that they needed. Norma is stable and mature, religiously on time and detail orientated, as well as a super safe driver and could be counted on to always be ready, eager and willing to help out even on short notice when help was needed. Norma is so trustworthy that as we prepare to move internationally, I've insisted she keep a key to my house "just in case" something happens while we are overseas, and I wouldn't hesitate to call her for something small or for an emergency. Norma was recognized as wonderful by some family friends who now use her regularly as a nanny and helper for their family (kids 2 yrs and 10 yrs old) and the mom thanks me almost weekly for having brought Norma into their family. I simply can't recommend Norma any more highly and know that you'll feel the same about her almost immediately, as will your kids. I'll be hiring her when we return to the US in the future.
