About Nolan

I find that kids open me to different interpretations of life, and I love to get to experience the world through their eyes. I feel inspired by their enthusiasm about every new experience and the way they so easily appreciate all the details. I have been working with kids for over a decade, starting as a mother's helper, and later a babysitter, camp counselor, and assistant teacher in daycare and preschools. Through all of this, the most useful skill I've found when it comes to childcare is patience. This goes hand in hand with being open to anything that arises, and ready to problem solve and find new angles on the fly, as this line of work is full of surprises and newness, both for your child and for me as I get to know them. Keeping a lighthearted and kind attitude helps to maintain a peaceful environment, but playfulness is a key ingredient too. As for me, I love hiking, swimming in the surrounding lakes and rivers, and relaxing at the waterfront, all preferably with friends!
