I have taught 5th grade in Newport Mesa Unified, 3rd grade in Irvine Unified, and 3rd grade at an international school in South Korea. I specialize in reading and writing instruction at the elementary level and work with students with learning difficulties (dyslexia, ADHD) and students learning English as a second language. I am trained in the Barton Reading & Spelling system which is a Orton Gillingham based program for students with dyslexia and reading issues. I have tutored elementary, middle, and high school students, as well as adults. I am an enthusiastic, fun and passionate educator and look forward to hearing how I can help your child succeed!

Nobuko is an amazing tutor! She has been tutoring my six year old in reading and writing for last three months and he has made amazing progress on his letter sounds, writing and CVC words. She sends me videos of his lessons/ progress after every session. She works very well with our schedule and is always reliable. I have tried other tutors but no one else has put as much care and support into his learning as she has. Thanks to Nobuko’s help my son can go into the first grade prepared. I couldn’t have asked for a better tutor. I would highly recommend
