I'm a Special Education Teacher at a therapeutic day school. I've worked with a range of disabilities. My specialties are autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and emotional/behavior disorders. My career started as a direct support professional for 7 men in a group home. From there, I found my passion in helping people and became a paraprofessional at a therapeutic day school for kids with autism. I've worked primarily with kids with autism for 3 years and with emotional/behavior disorders for 2 years. Currently, I am working with emotional/behavior students at the middle school level after working in elementary autism last year. I've worked with ages 5-21 in the educational and respite settings. I have extensive experience with all ages. I've worked with a variety of disabilities and am equipped to handle crises as they arise. My strengths are staying calm, engaging with the people I'm working with, communication, and building connections. My goal is that every one feels safe.
