About Nisa

I provide warm, steady companion care grounded in respect, patience, and genuine human connection. My experience includes caring for elderly family members, including loved ones living with dementia, as well as extensive work with seniors through my long-term documentary project, Documenting Disappearing Family Farmsteads. That work has placed me in close relationship with older adults, their histories, routines, and day-to-day needs-often during times of transition. I'm especially comfortable with companion care: conversation, outings, transportation to appointments or errands, light household support, and offering calm, attentive presence. I'm intuitive, observant, and able to gently redirect when memory or confusion comes into play. Families describe me as kind, trustworthy, emotionally attuned, and reliable. I'm CPR/First Aid trained, a non-smoker, comfortable with pets, and value dignity, humor, and consistency in care.
