About Nina

Hi! I'm Nina, and I love helping students find confidence and creativity in their writing. I've worked with kids of all ages--from middle schoolers crafting essays for class and high school applications to college students perfecting their personal statements and law school applications. No matter the project, I focus on helping each student express their ideas clearly and authentically, while making the writing process feel less intimidating and more rewarding. I'd describe my personality as focused, fun, and curious. I'm interested in helping children aged 10-22 with whatever writing project they're currently working on, whether it be an essay for English class, a research paper for History, or a personal statement for The Common Application. In my spare time, I like to bake, try new dinner recipes, and go for runs and walks along the West Side Highway. Of course, I love to read. My favorite authors are Joan Didion, Maggie Nelson, Ernest Hemingway, and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
