I've taken care of dogs and cats since I was 12. Growing up my family always had pets two cats, a dog, and a turtle. I handled pet care at home, for my neighbors, and my Cambridge clients' pets. Based on the owner's requests, weather, heat/humidity, dog's age, health, fitness, and routine recreational habits, I usually begin new-client dog walks around the dog's neighborhood, short and long, and with shared me-dog playtime in dog's securely fenced home outdoor environment. Once we come to know and trust each other, the dog and I graduate to on-/off-leash adventures together. In terms of cats, I usually begin by having the cat become familiarized with me. From there, I ask the owner about the toys the cat enjoys playing with or other activities the cat may enjoy.
