For the past 14 years, I have been working publicly and privately with kids, teens and young adults who are typical and individuals with an autism spectrum disorder and other differing abilities. Interventions include but are not limited to social-relational, communication, behavior, and emotional development. I meet all individuals just where they are with non-judgment, respect, and compassion. Each person has strengths and challenges, therefore a careful assessment and approach is taken to ensure that an individualized program is created to maximize opportunities and potential for development. Nina worked us and our challenging son for over a year, training and supervising therapists, working 1 on 1, providing meticulous written and verbal feedback for improvements. She ran academic, behavioral and communication components as well as implementing data collection sheets for our team and the regional center. Because our son is nonverbal and aggressive, her calm and patient tone helped to reduce his anxiety so he was able to successfully complete tasks. In instances where she disagreed with a method, she was always kind and professional. Under her leadership our son progressed in managing anxiety, tolerance, new skill acquisition and keeping others safe. We found Nina to be the right person for us and we would highly recommend her!
