About Nilum

Unlocking a student's unique potential is at the heart of my teaching philosophy. With a college degree and a year of experience, I specialize in helping elementary students build confidence in math, English, test preparation, and study skills. I assess individual learning styles through active listening and adapt my methods using visual aids, hands-on activities, and collaborative discussions. When concepts feel challenging, I connect them to real-world interests and break problems into manageable steps to maintain momentum. I prioritize clear communication with both students and parents to foster a supportive, trusting environment. Nothing is more rewarding than witnessing a student's "aha!" moment or watching their self-assurance grow as they master new skills. Whether we meet at your home, a library, or a local coffee shop, I am dedicated to making learning an engaging and successful journey for your child.
