A little about me-- I have been nannying since high school & throughout college. I just moved home to LA from San Fransisco. I spent the last 2 years working for an interior design company, however, am taking a break to go back to school part-time. I have always loved working with children & am excited to get back into it. My Experience-- I first started care taking in highschool and continued to nanny to support myself throughout college while studying design and marketing. I studied in New York City and cared for a family with three children (a 2 y. o. boy), (a 5 y. o. girl), & (a 13 y. o. girl). Overview of day-to-day duties: Start the day by packing lunches & taking the 5 & 13 y. o. to school. Then come back with the 2 y. o., clean up and feed him (sometimes take him to dance or swim) and look after him until it was time for us to pick the girls up from school. We would then do homework & dinner and always plan fun crafts and activities!

BEWARE of this caregiver! We hired Nikki in January after she told us she just moved to the area. After nearly 3 months of working for us she simply did not show up to pick up our sons at school. Who does this to a 4 and 7 year old? She was working every T/Th/F afternoon. She called in sick (via text) on a Tuesday and even though it was short notice (I had to leave a meeting to make it to pick up my boys in time), I was understanding and said "no problem, hope you feel better"...then Thursday (the day before my sons BIRTHDAY) she simply never showed up to their school to pick them up. In all my life I have never had an experience like this. I find it appalling that someone could do this to children. There were a million ways she could have handled this if she didn't want the job anymore. I felt this crossed a line of basic decency and anyone who could do this should not be allowed to work with children.
