About Nicole

I'm calm, observant, and creative. I have a type B spirit with a type A mind: laid back, but organized. I like working with kids because I love to help them develop the skills they need for life. I grew up with a sister that was 6 years younger, and helping her to learn and grow was my favorite thing. I started formally working with kids when I was a teenager, babysitting three kids for a family in my neighborhood. I taught kids to swim while I was in high school, and later worked as a lifeguard at a Boys & Girls Club camp. Currently I coach swimming two nights a week for a swim club in Pine Bush, and substitute teach in the Pine Bush and New Paltz schools districts. I've work most regularly at Duzine Elementary. I'm in school working towards teacher certification. In my spare time, I like to go for walks, read, make paper crafts, write, sing, and swim. I'm learning to garden and bake, and I love learning new skills in general.
