Special education as a formal interest of mine began in 2014 as I interacted with families going through high turbulence. I am a licensed elementary and special education teacher with current licensing in UT and OR for both. I'm comfortable with IEPs, application of various pedagogy and new data-driven approaches, behavioral assessment and reinforcement strategies, BIPs, and more. I personally believe that a hearty rapport is the greatest way to increase trust and communication from youth who are striving to grow and develop both as students and as people.
