Special education as a formal interest of mine began in 2014 as I interacted with families going through high turbulence. I've spent the last year building upon my associates to work towards a BA that focuses on Special Education. I'm comfortable with IEPs, edu. and dev. theories, behavioral assessment and reinforcement strategies, BIPs, and more from my formal education and my work as a Special Education Aide in middle school social studies, math, and science classes this last fall. I personally believe that a hearty rapport is the greatest way to increase trust and communication from youth who are striving to grow and develop as students and as people. I put my heart and soul into the work I do and enjoy beyond words getting to be a valuable asset to youth who sit beyond society's box.
