New to Care
This is a criminal background check required for all caregiver before they can message families.
My family and I used to sing Christmas carols every year at his retirement home. After singing, we would walk around and have conversations with the residents in the home and assist them with their eating. My grandfather had dementia and was later placed in a loving home with three other clients who had memory problems. While my grandpa was there, I really learned how to take care of seniors, especially when they are in hospice or getting close to being in hospice. I have experience with feeding, rearranging pillows and blankets to make beds more comfortable, and I have assisted with changing clothes and depends. In clinic, I am currently working with three adults who have had strokes or brain injuries, ranging from breath support problems to word-finding difficulties, to being non-verbal. My grandparents were my absolute favorite people, and I find this population to be extremely special. They have lived full lives and have many stories to share. I would love to be the one to listen
