About Nicole

Honing in on a student's unique potential via attentive, encouraging support is the cornerstone of my tutoring approach. I prioritize building confidence and a love of learning. I hold a master's in art history and excel at research, critical thinking, writing and presenting. I was a sole elementary school librarian for two years (my favorite job yet), judged middle school History Day projects for five years, and worked in children's, science, and art museums, a gallery, an auction house, an archive, and libraries. I volunteered as an adult ELL tutor (reading, writing, citizenship testing) and my certification is Foundations of Adult Education Tutoring. I recently moved from MN to LA and am excited to connect locally. By listening and observing how you engage with new material, I tailor my methods to you. We go step by step and celebrate small successes to keep momentum. Open communication builds trust and helps us reach your goals. Watching confidence grow is my favorite part.
