About Nicole

Childcare has been part of my life since I was 5--my mom ran in-home licensed daycare, and I helped care for toddlers and children. I babysat regularly as a preteen and teen, and helped raise two younger siblings from infancy. I've also volunteered in a church nursery. Professionally, I spent two years as an elementary school librarian (my favorite job yet) and have worked at children's and science museums, art galleries, and public libraries, nurturing a love of learning. I'm a certified adult tutor and enjoy helping with homework. I'm empathetic, attentive, and love encouraging wonder, mindfulness, and joyful play, while celebrating diverse backgrounds and supporting kids' growing independence. I hold a master's in art history and love doing crafts with kids, plus music and dancing. Recently relocated from Minnesota to LA, excited to connect with local families! I love working with children through age 7 but open to 7+. I'm tidy, a good cook, happy to help w cleaning and laundry etc
